S4TR Refrigerated Centrifuges
Manufacturer: Thermo Fisher
Description
The Thermo Scientific™ S4TR Refrigerated Benchtop Centrifuge is engineered to streamline everyday laboratory applications while prioritizing sustainability, performance optimization, and ease of use. Featuring GreenCool™ technology, this unit provides precise refrigeration for sensitive samples in a compact footprint that maximizes available bench space. The centrifuge comes standard with an intuitive keypad and a high-contrast LCD display interface that simplifies operation by providing detailed information on a wide range of operating parameters and processing status.
It is also equipped with a direct, brushless induction drive for quiet, maintenance-free operation. Its modern industrial design includes a motorized lid latch that enables a one-finger downward motion for the easiest closing and locking, along with a curved front and ergonomic height for easier sample loading, unloading, and cleaning.
Key to the S4TR's versatility is the Auto-Lock™ rotor exchange system, a secure, ergonomic push-button mechanism allowing users to switch between 13 different rotor options in as little as three seconds without tools, providing full chamber access to ease cleaning and minimize contamination risks. Safety and separation quality are enhanced by SMARTSpin™ Imbalance Detection, which automatically optimizes safety and improves separations by maximizing acceleration, braking, and residual load imbalance adjustments for each specific rotor and bucket option.
The S4TR is manufactured in a certified zero-waste facility using 100% renewable electricity in Osterode am Harz, Germany, making it an ideal choice for labs looking to reduce their environmental impact without sacrificing performance. Compatible with high-capacity Fiberlite™ carbon fiber rotors, it can process up to 4 L of sample or 196 blood tubes in a single run.
