- Versatile Tube Support: While the primary capacity is 94 mL, a variety of adapters are available to accommodate smaller volumes, including 15 mL and 50 mL conical tubes.
Laboratory Maintenance & Safety:
- O-Ring Maintenance: To ensure the biocontainment seal remains valid, replacement sealing O-rings should be swapped out periodically. They are available in sets of two and must be used with the specified vacuum grease to maintain an airtight fit.
- Balanced Loading: As with all high-speed fixed-tilt_angle rotors, samples must be balanced symmetrically across the rotor axis. For the 6-place HIGHConic II, you can run 2, 3, 4, or 6 tubes, provided they are placed in a balanced configuration.
- Adapter Requirements: Note that tube adapters are sold separately. If you intend to use standard 50 mL conical tubes, ensure you include the appropriate HIGHConic II adapters in your order.
