Shipping Policy
The Lab Depot ships from various locations within the Continental US. We attempt to ship from the warehouse nearest to the ordering customer via carriers such as UPS and FedEx. Usually, orders with multiple items ship from different locations where ground shipment receipt times can vary. Certain hazardous items may have shipping restrictions and may require additional hazardous charges. Special handling for lift gates, inside deliveries, and rescheduled deliveries may also be subject to additional freight charges.
All orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped.
Delays can occur based on manufacturer supply, supply chain issues, carrier challenges, or specialty items that are manufactured only after orders are placed. When placing your order, be sure to ask our sales team for any additional information they have regarding any potential delays. If you are making an internet order, any information about delays will be communicated via email or a direct phone call from one of our customer service representatives.
Domestic Shipping Rates & Estimates:
Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout according to the most accurate rate provided by our carriers. These charges are subject to change, and you will be notified at the time of your purchase.
At checkout, customers can always request to have their order shipped using their own carrier accounts. For example, if your organization has a FedEx or a UPS account that you would like to use for delivery charges, you can make that selection at the time of purchase.
International Shipping (or Outside the Continental US):
Customers with shipping addresses outside of the US are solely responsible for all duties, import taxes, value-added taxes, and brokerage fees. These are not included in the cost of shipping or handling of your order. Customs, duties, and taxes vary widely from country to country. Please check with your local customs agency for details on estimated costs. Customs, duties, taxes, and shipping charges are non-refundable, so if you refuse a shipment because of unexpected import fees, the cost of the original shipping, any brokerage/customs/duty taxes, restocking fees, and any return shipping charges will not be refunded. The Lab Depot is not responsible for these charges if they are applied and are your responsibility as the customer.
Local Delivery & In-Store Pickup:
At this time, we do not offer local delivery or in-store pickup.
Hazardous Chemicals:
Please be advised that we cannot ship chemicals to residential addresses, including home-based businesses, as noted during checkout. This requirement includes hazardous chemicals, non-hazardous chemicals, and powdered-culture media. To purchase these products, a business/commercial shipping address is required upon checkout. Be advised that we must ship chemicals to the business that has the intended use for such chemicals being ordered. If a residential address is used at checkout when purchasing chemicals, the order will be canceled.
How do I check the status of my order?
Please log into your online account and navigate to "My Orders." For any other inquiries, please email [email protected] or call 1-800-733-2522 for Customer Service. We are available Monday - Friday (8 am - 5 pm EST).
Suspected Lost Packages:
While we strive for timely delivery, occasionally a shipment may be delayed or lost in transit. Because we often ship from multiple warehouse locations, delivery dates for items in a single order may vary.
If you suspect your package is lost, you must notify us at c[email protected] or call 1-800-733-2522 within 10 calendar days of the expected delivery date or the date the carrier marks the item as delivered. Timely notification allows us to open an investigation with the carrier and, if necessary, arrange for a replacement or credit. Claims made after this 10-day window may not be eligible for resolution.
Refunds, Returns, & Exchanges:
Please reference our Returns Policy for more information. We address returns on a case-by-case basis and will always try our best to work towards a satisfactory solution.
