If you’re looking to return or exchange your order for whatever reason, we're here to help! We offer returns within 30 days of purchase. To initiate a return, please complete the RMA Form (Return Merchandise Authorization) below. Every return is subject to approval by The Lab Depot Team.
Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Request
Please submit the form below. You will be notified with an RMA number if your return request has been approved. Shipping information for returning items will be provided once the RMA is issued. How do I return an item?
To initiate a return, please complete the following steps:
- Submit the RMA Form below within thirty days of the receipt of the merchandise.
- You will be notified with an RMA number if your return request has been approved. The Lab Depot will only accept returned goods if such return complies with the provisions in this policy.
- All items must be returned in their original box and packed in a sufficient exterior box for return shipping, and include all accessories, certificates, and manuals included in the original shipment. Shipping information for returning items will be provided once the RMA is issued.
- If you purchased your item using a credit card, any refunds will be directed back onto the credit card used to make the purchase. If you purchased your item by P.O., or on credit from The Lab Depot, any refunds will be directed back as a credit to your TLD account.

Terms & Conditions:
The Lab Depot, Inc. will only accept returned goods if such return complies with the provisions below. Your return authorization is valid for 30 calendar days. If The Lab Depot has not received the item(s) back in 30 days, the RMA number will expire, and the item(s) will no longer be eligible for return credit.
Please note the following exceptions to our return and refund policy:
- Refrigerated or sterile products may not be returned, even if they are unmarked or unused.
- Made-to-order or specially ordered items (items not routinely stocked by The Lab Depot, Inc. or currently not sold by The Lab Depot, Inc.) may not be returned.
- Obsolete, discontinued, expired, short-dated, used, or items in units of measure less than the original unit of sale from The Lab Depot, Inc. may not be returned for credit.
- Hazardous items and chemicals may not be returned.
Important Items to Remember for Returns:
- RMA Number: To ensure credit, returns must be pre-approved by an authorized The Lab Depot, Inc. representative, and assigned a Return Merchandise Authorization number which must accompany the return. The quantity of items shipped, and the specific manufacturer SKU number of each item must match the RMA form, so the information will be correct for proper tracking. The RMA number must be visible on the return package.
- Original Packaging: If The Lab Depot, Inc. determines that the return is a result of customer error or warranty repair, such items must be returned at the expense of the customer. All items must be returned in their original box unmarked, unused, unopened, and in a resaleable condition. It is your responsibility to ensure your return is properly packaged and protected for transit in both the interior original box and sufficient exterior shipping box.
- Restocking Fees & Credits: Returns may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 35%. Unauthorized, returned products may be refused for credit and are evaluated on an individual basis.
- Insuring Return(s): The Lab Depot, Inc. will not credit any returns that are damaged due to improper packing during the return shipping. For this reason, we suggest that you insure the item(s) for the purchase/replacement price. Risk of loss on items to be returned does not pass to The Lab Depot, Inc. until received by The Lab Depot, Inc. or an authorized vendor of The Lab Depot.
Did you receive a damaged item?
Please inspect all items immediately for any damage or concealed damage. Any damages and exceptions must be noted on the bill of lading or delivery ticket. In the event of any such damage, the original shipping container must be saved for inspection. Any capital equipment that has been damaged should be refused and left with the delivery company or carrier. The Lab Depot, Inc. should be notified of such damage within 24 hours of receipt. Failure to adhere to this policy will release The Lab Depot, Inc. from any responsibility regarding replacement and/or credit.
If you have received damaged merchandise, please attach a photo of the damaged item with submission of the RMA Form showing damage, item packaging, interior and exterior shipping box and a signed bill of lading for truck shipments or tracking number for a small package. Please hold all damaged material for carrier inspection until further notice.
