Spin up to six microplates and, using sealed carriers, ensure certified sealed conditions for all samples with the Thermo Scientific™ M-20 Microplate Swinging-Bucket Rotor.
Component Ordering Guide:
To maintain biocontainment or replace wear-and-tear items, utilize the following specialized parts:
- Sealed Carriers (75003625): Includes a set of 2 trays and lids for certified aerosol-tight operation.
- Maintenance Kit (75002012): Set of 4 replacement O-rings for lids, including vacuum grease for a perfect seal.
Operational Insights:
- Biocontainment Check: To ensure "certified sealed" conditions, the lids must be used in conjunction with the specified O-rings. Always inspect O-rings for debris or cracks before every run, as even a small hair can break the vacuum seal.
- Balanced Loads: When spinning plates, ensure that the weight is balanced within each bucket and between the two buckets. Use "dummy" plates filled with water if you are processing an odd number of samples.
- Compatible Models: This rotor is a perfect fit for the Sorvall™ ST 16/ST 40, Legend™ X1/XT, and Multifuge™ X1/X3 series.
