Kickstart 2024: Forging The Future
On Friday, January 26th, The Lab Depot marked the 7th consecutive year of celebrating Kickstart. This annual event serves as a spirited kick-off to the new year and establishes its thematic focus. This year’s theme is “Forging The Future,” where we as a company will focus on “shaping tomorrow by what we do today.” In a dynamic landscape where economic conditions are ever-evolving, we are dedicated to ensuring that we play a proactive role in shaping a successful future for our organization and our valued customers.
The celebration began with an engaging presentation from our Impactful Events team, revealing insights into the theme and its logo. The reveal was followed by a surprise 80s throwback workout from Lori Fowler and Ron Anderson, setting an exhilarating tone for the event. After the lively presentation, the staff enjoyed a pizza lunch together.
Subsequently, Jere Allen, TLD’s Vice President and CFO, took the stage to reflect on the company's journey over the past few years. He highlighted the transformative changes since 2019, the growth we have experienced, and how it has paved the way for what TLD is today. Based on this reflection, he encouraged everyone to think about what we can do today, as individuals, to forge the future for ourselves and the company.
The evening ended as staff and managers were divided into groups, engaging in a friendly competition to determine who could complete a TLD puzzle the quickest in one hour. Everyone broke into five teams: Team Poison, The Groundbreakers, The Collaborators, The Mascots, and The Slashers. In the end, The Collaborators won with just four minutes to spare.
Kickstart 2024 will be, without a doubt, an event to remember for everyone here at TLD.
