DNase Agar Dehydrated Culture Media
Manufacturer: Neogen Inc.
Description
The medium's primary benefit is its ability to produce an unmistakable visual result. The agar is formulated with Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA), which makes the medium opaque. Organisms that produce DNase will degrade the surrounding DNA, creating a visible clear zone around the colony when the medium is acidified with 1N HCl. This clear zone provides a simple and definitive positive result, allowing you to confidently differentiate DNase-positive from DNase-negative microorganisms.
Please note: This product is not intended for use in the diagnosis of disease or other conditions in humans.
