Cystine Lactose Electrolyte Deficient (CLED) Agar Dehydrated Culture Media
Manufacturer: Neogen Inc.
Description
The medium's dual functionality is its key advantage. The electrolyte-deficient nature of the agar is what prevents Proteus from swarming, allowing for the accurate counting of colonies. For differentiation, the medium contains Lactose and Bromothymol Blue, a combination that clearly distinguishes between lactose and non-lactose fermenting organisms. This medium also supports the growth of a wide variety of microorganisms, including Streptococcus pyogenes and other fastidious organisms that do not require blood, making it a versatile and indispensable tool for your lab.
Please note: This product is not intended for use in the diagnosis of disease or other conditions in humans.
