Air Science® Filter Compatibility Chart
This article provides an overview of Air Science®'s filtration options for their various ductless hood units. It is important to select the appropriate unit and filter and establish a proper plan for replacing the filters to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals using the units. Failure to take proper precautions could result in severe injuries or even death, or the failure of the unit. Therefore, before purchasing a ductless unit and filters, please contact our sales team whose information can be found at the end of this article.
Air Science® provides air filters for ductless fume hoods that absorb chemicals, VOCs, and particulates, creating a safe working environment without extra ducting expenses.
The Air Science® Multiplex™ Filtration System comprises a pre-filter, a main filter, and an optional safety filter.
The electrostatic pre-filter allows for the collection of dust particles, acting as the first line of defense.
The main filters are Ultra-Low-Particulate Air (ULPA), High-Efficiency Particle Air (HEPA), Carbon, and others that protect the user from specific harmful pollutants. ULPA and HEPA filters are designed to capture small particulates. ULPA filters capture particulates from 0.1 to 0.3 µm, while HEPA filters capture 0.3 µm particulates.
Carbon filters effectively remove VOCs and fumes from various chemical families.
The chart below shows what each filter safeguards against.
