Built from water-repellent material, these boxes are specifically designed to withstand cryogenic temperatures as low as -196°C without losing structural integrity or readability. The system features a numbered grid ID (1-81) printed directly on the lid, the bottom, and the internal partitions. This "triple-check" numbering system ensures that even if the lid is separated from the base, your sample identification remains secure.

Cryogenic Storage Best Practices:

Vial Selection: For storage in the liquid phase of nitrogen, always ensure you are using internally threaded cryogenic vials with silicone gaskets to prevent liquid nitrogen from entering the vial and causing a potential explosion upon thawing.
Condensation: When removing boxes from the freezer, wipe away frost immediately to keep the numbered markings clear.
Labeling: Use cryogenic-grade markers or labels that are rated for -196°C to ensure your sample data remains legible on the water-repellent surface.
