Description
Because of its unique ability to dissolve silicates, this aqueous solution of hydrofluoric acid (HF) is the industry standard for breaking down sand, rock, and glass matrix samples into soluble forms. To preserve chemical purity and ensure facility safety, the reagent is packaged exclusively in heavy-duty polyethylene (poly) bottles, which entirely prevents the container-leaching and dangerous etching associated with standard glass packaging.

Unlike other acids, HF skin exposures may not be painful immediately. Always operate inside a certified fume hood using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)—including heavy-duty nitrile/neoprene sleeves, a face shield, and an acid-resistant apron. Ensure that fresh Calcium Gluconate antidote gel is explicitly staged at your workstation before unsealing this product.
