The unit's advanced operating features are controlled by a powerful microprocessor that ensures stable setpoints for temperature and a wide speed range of 50 to 1200 rpm. Electronic feedback controls monitor either the plate surface or liquid temperature (using the included PTFE-coated probe) and constantly adjust to the setpoint. Safety is paramount: a red HOT TOP warning light remains active until the surface cools below 50°C. The exclusive StirTrac™ breaking feature brings the stir bar to an immediate stop, and a walk-away timer automatically shuts off the unit after a preset interval. The RS-232 port allows for remote control and data documentation, enhancing both safety and regulatory compliance.
