Product Selection by Application:
Cartridges are categorized by their primary functional role to help you choose the correct resin for your feedwater conditions and application requirements.
- Ultrapure & Demineralization (Mixed-Bed): Best for producing high-resistivity water for general laboratory use and sensitive analytical work. Combines cation and anion exchange resins in a single canister to produce water with resistivity up to 18.2 MΩ-cm
- Organic & Pretreatment Removal: Designed to remove chlorine and organic contaminants to protect downstream resins and equipment
- Multi-Contaminant & Specialized Removal: Combined resins for oxygen, organic, and ion removal in a single step
- Macroreticular Technology: Cartridges like the D0836 use macroreticular resins for superior organic removal, protecting the life of expensive ultrapure cartridges
- High-Temperature Resilience: The D88-series is specifically designed for use with high-temperature stainless steel holder systems, maintaining resin integrity under thermal stress
Features:
- Designed exclusively for Barnstead hardware to ensure leak-proof operation and optimal contact time between water and resin
- Available in "Half Size" for compact B-Pure holders and "Full Size" for standard Bantam or B-Pure systems
- Suitable for feed-water pretreatment for HPLC, ICP-MS, and tissue culture applications where ion or organic interference must be minimized
Maintenance & Replacement Guidelines:
- IMPORTANT! Cartridge Exhaustion: Grain capacity (for ions) and gallon capacity (for organics) are estimates based on average water quality. Always monitor your system's resistivity meter or conductivity light. Once quality drops below your required threshold, the cartridge is exhausted
- Installation: When replacing cartridges, ensure the O-rings are seated correctly to prevent leaks
- Autoclaving Note: These cartridges are NOT autoclavable. However, certain systems using them can be sanitized according to manufacturer protocols
- Selection Tip: Use a "High Capacity" two-bed cartridge (like D0803) for pretreatment to significantly extend the life of your "Ultrapure" mixed-bed cartridges
