The SCILOGEX MicroPette Plus series represents a perfect balance of performance, comfort, and hygiene. Engineered for the modern laboratory, these single-channel variable volume pipettors are fully autoclavable at 121°C, allowing for deep sterilization without the need for disassembly. This makes them an ideal choice for sensitive molecular biology, microbiology, and pharmaceutical applications where cross-contamination must be eliminated. Designed with ergonomics in mind, the MicroPette Plus reduces the risk of repetitive strain injuries (RSI) during long pipetting sessions. The volume is easily adjusted by turning the thumb plunger, and the clear, easy-to-read display ensures you remain within your targeted parameters.

Description

Overview

Eight variable volume MicroPette's in the range. Volume adjustment is selected by turning the thumb plunger mechanism. MicroPette's are calibrated in accordance ISO/DIS 8655. Each pipettor passes a quality control/calibration test and is supplied with a certificate. The MicroPette Plus pipettes are fully autoclavable, enable easy cleaning and reduce the risk of contamination. Steam autoclaving can be performed at 121°C, 1 bar for 20 minutes. After autoclaving, the pipette must be cooled down and left to dry for 12 hours before use. It is recommended to check the performance of the pipette after each autoclaving. Greasing and sealing of the pipette piston after every 10th autoclaving will secure an enhanced function. All SCILOGEX pipettes have been quality tested according to ISO8655-2:2002 and are supplied with individual calibration certificates. The quality control includes gravimetric testing of each pipette with distilled water at 22°C.

Maintenance & Performance Insights:

Autoclaving Protocol: After autoclaving, the pipette must be allowed to cool and dry for at least 12 hours before use to ensure the internal components have returned to their calibrated state
Long-Term Care: To maintain smooth operation and an airtight seal, it is recommended to grease the pipette piston after every 10th autoclaving cycle
Narrow Vessel Access: The slim, integral tip ejector is specifically designed to allow access into narrow microtubes and deep-well plates without the ejector arm interfering with the vessel rim
