PRO250® Handheld or Post-Mounted Homogenizers
Manufacturer: PRO Scientific Inc.
Description
The PRO250® is available as a standalone motor or in specialized kits designed for specific industry workflows like CBD processing and high-volume tissue breakdown.
Features:
- Use it as a handheld device for quick samples or mount it to a PRO250 Stand Assembly for long-duration processing or high-viscosity mixing.
- MaX-Homogenizer Kits: These "Tube-to-Beaker" packages include multiple probe sizes (e.g., 10 mm and 20 mm), allowing you to transition from small 5 mL micro-tubes to 3 L beakers using a single motor.
- Available in Deluxe MaX and Premium MaX Packages
- Typical Volume Range: 5 mL to 3 L
- CBD-Optimized Packages: Specifically tailored for the cannabis and hemp industries, these kits include large-diameter saw-tooth probes and Acetal Resin Deflector Heads to manage the high viscosity of oils and extracts.
- Available in Basic, Basic Plus, Deluxe, and Deluxe Plus Packages
- Typical Volume Range: 100 mL to 5 L
- Fully compatible with PRO SAFETY SEAL® ST Chamber Assemblies, allowing for the safe homogenization of hazardous materials in a sealed environment.
- Quick Connect System: Switch between a 5mm fine-tip probe and a 30mm industrial generator in seconds without the need for specialized tools.
- All Models include a Protective Carrying Case. PK-01250MXP includes a PRO250 Stand Assembly
Operational Tips for High-Volume Processing:
- When processing volumes near the 5 L limit, especially with viscous samples, monitor the temperature of your sample. The high-torque motor can introduce thermal energy quickly; use an ice bath if your analytes are heat-sensitive.
- For larger batches (over 1 L), using a Deflector Head is highly recommended. It creates a vertical flow pattern that prevents the sample from simply "spinning" with the probe, ensuring a more uniform homogenization.
- All PRO generators are made from 316 Stainless Steel and PTFE. After use, disassemble the probe (which takes seconds) for thorough cleaning or autoclaving.
