The Bio-Gen™ PRO200® is available as a standalone motor or in tailored kits designed for specific volume ranges and "Multi-Gen" high-throughput workflows.
Features:
- Micro-Volume Specialist: Specifically optimized for small-scale research; using 5mm and 7mm generators makes this unit ideal for 1.5 mL microtubes.
- Multi-Gen 7® Compatibility: Ideal for use with PRO’s Multi-Gen stainless steel generators, which allow for low-cost, repeat homogenization without the risk of cross-contamination.
- Aerosol Containment: Fully compatible with PRO SAFETY SEAL® ST (Sealed Tube) assemblies to safely contain generated aerosols during homogenization of hazardous samples.
- PRO Quick Connect System: Rotor-stator generators (ranging from 5mm to 20mm) can be mounted or swapped in seconds, allowing you to transition from a 0.03 mL sample to a 1 L beaker instantly.
- Quiet Operation: At only 68 dB, it is one of the quietest high-speed homogenizers in its class, reducing noise fatigue in busy lab environments.
- All Models include a Protective Carrying Case. PK-01200P and PK-01200UHD include a PRO200 Stand Assembly
Homogenizing Hints & Safety:
- Microtube Optimization: When working with 1.5 mL or 2.0 mL microtubes, a 5mm or 7mm flat-bottom generator is recommended to ensure the probe reaches the bottom of the vessel for a complete sample breakdown.
- Repeatability: Use the separate ON/OFF switch to toggle power without moving the speed slider. This "set it and forget it" feature is essential for standardized protocols.
- Maintenance: PRO generators are made from 316 Stainless Steel and PTFE. They are designed for easy disassembly and are compatible with autoclaving, flaming, and chemical cleaning.
