Palcam Agar Base Dehydrated Culture Media
Manufacturer: Neogen Inc.
Description
The medium's primary benefit is its powerful differentiation capability, which is based on esculin hydrolysis (producing a blackening of the medium) and mannitol fermentation (indicated by a color change from the Phenol Red dye). A blend of antibiotics (from a required supplement) and Lithium Chloride enhances selectivity, while the inclusion of Columbia Peptone Mix, Yeast Extract, and Glucose provides a nutrient-rich base for robust growth. Palcam Agar is listed within Annex E of ISO 11290-1:2017, making it a trusted and compliant solution for your food safety analyses.
Please note: This product is an agar base and requires the aseptic addition of a Palcam PAC Supplement for a complete medium. It is not intended for use in the diagnosis of disease or other conditions in humans.
