Cleaning & Longevity Best Practice: To prevent fine particulate residues from permanently embedding within the pores of the sealed-in fritted disc, never allow filtered solids to dry inside the assembly. Immediately following a filtration run, reverse-flush the fritted base under a vacuum line using an appropriate cleaning solvent (such as dilute nitric acid or acetone, depending on your residue) to maximize the life and performance of your glassware.
