These pumps are designed to achieve a vacuum of 1015 torr at a pumping rate of approximately 8 L/sec, making them ideal for use with AF-0450 through AF-0454 manifolds. The innovative bypass system isolates the diffusion pump during rough pumping, preventing hot pumping fluid from degrading due to chemical oxidation. The boiler has a round bottom for use with a separate heating mantle, which eliminates costly repairs due to breakage.
