Sodium Hydrosulfite, Reagent
Manufacturer: Spectrum Chemical Manufacturing
Description
Sodium Hydrosulfite, Reagent is also referred to as sodium dithionite and is a white powder with a slight sulfurous odor. Like most salts it is soluble in water and is used in industry as a reducing agent. In Biology it is used to determine the iron content of soil and to lower the redox potential of physiology experiments. The Reagent grade denotes that this chemical is the highest quality commercially available and that the American Chemical Society has not officially set any specifications for this material. Spectrum Chemical manufactured Reagent grade products meet the toughest regulatory standards for quality and purity. (CAS# 7775-14-6, Molecular Formula: Na2S2O4) Sodium Hydrosulfite, Reagent
