Description
Sodium Chromate Tetrahydrate, Crystal, Reagent is a chemical compound that is a solid and has a yellow color. It is water-soluble and has strong oxidizing properties. When mixed with water it creates a weak basic solution. It is mainly used to inhibit corrosion in the petroleum industry as well as being used to determine the volume of red blood cells in diagnostic pharmaceuticals. Its reagent grade means this is the highest quality commercially available for this chemical and that the American Chemical Society has not officially set any specifications for this material.
