OGYE Agar Base Dehydrated Culture Media
Manufacturer: Neogen Inc.
Description
The medium's primary benefit is its ability to provide improved recovery of a wider range of fungi. The nutrient-rich base of Yeast Extract and Dextrose ensures robust growth, while the antibiotic provides a powerful selective effect. This makes it an ideal solution for detecting and enumerating yeasts and molds in foods and other specimens of sanitary significance. As an agar base, OGYE Agar requires the aseptic addition of an Oxytetracycline supplement after sterilization to create a complete and ready-to-use medium.
Please note: This product is an agar base and requires supplementation. It is not intended for use in the diagnosis of disease or other conditions in humans.
