• Cross-Brand Consolidation: Eliminates the need to purchase brand-specific, proprietary racks. You can safely store a Gilson, an Eppendorf, and a Rainin pipettor side-by-side in the exact same carousel.
• Heavy Anti-Tip Base: The low-profile steel counterweight prevents the rack from wobbling or flipping over when a heavy 1000 µl mechanical pipettor is removed or replaced quickly.
• Shaft and Tip Cone Protection: By keeping the pipettes suspended vertically, the stand prevents liquid from back-flowing into the internal piston chamber and stops the delicate lower tip cones from scratching against the benchtop.

Pipette Maintenance Best Practices:

• Gravity and Calibration Preservation: Always hang your pipettes on the carousel rack immediately after use. Leaving a pipette lying flat on the bench can cause any residual fluids inside the tip cone to migrate upward into the barrel assembly, causing internal seal corrosion and calibration drift.
• Routine Decontamination: The smooth exterior housing can be easily wiped down with a 70% isopropyl alcohol (IPA) solution or mild laboratory surface cleaners to prevent bench-to-pipette cross-contamination.
• Load Distribution: For maximum rotational smoothness, distribute your pipettors evenly across the six slots rather than crowding them all onto one side of the carousel head.
