Laboratory Bench Handling Strategy:

• Sterility & Autoclaving Note: These tubes are supplied non-sterile. If your protocols shift toward ultra-clean molecular biology, cell culture, or microbiology that requires an RNase/DNase-free environment, ensure the tubes are loosely capped (not locked down tight) before autoclaving at 121°C to allow proper steam penetration and prevent plastic deformation.
• Freezer Expansion Safety: Polypropylene handles deep-freezing beautifully. However, when freezing aqueous samples or liquid buffers inside these tubes, never fill them to the very top. Leave roughly 10% to 15% head-space to accommodate liquid expansion as it solidifies into ice, protecting the integrity of the screw threads.
