MacConkey Broth Dehydrated Culture Media
Manufacturer: Neogen Inc.
Description
The medium's selective power comes from Ox bile, which suppresses the growth of most Gram-positive bacteria. The primary differential characteristic is the fermentation of lactose, which is indicated by the Bromocresol Purple dye. A positive result is a distinct color change from purple to yellow, which is an unmistakable sign of coliform presence. The broth conforms to Harmonized USP/EP/JP Requirements, ensuring its reliability for compliance-critical applications.
Please note: MacConkey Broth is for laboratory use in the detection of coliform bacteria and is not intended for use in the diagnosis of disease or other conditions in humans.
