Each section delivers a distinct and complementary diagnostic function with 5 mL fill volume per section: EMB Agar selectively isolates Gram-negative bacilli including coliforms and enteric pathogens, XLD Agar selectively isolates Gram-negative enteric pathogens from fecal and food specimens, Modified Simmons Citrate differentiates Gram-negative enteric bacilli based on citrate utilization, and Blood Agar 5% provides non-selective general-purpose cultivation for comprehensive organism recovery.
