TSA Blood, CLED, and MacConkey Triplates
Manufacturer: Hardy Diagnostics
Description
Each section delivers a distinct and complementary diagnostic function with 7 mL fill volume per section: Tryptic Soy Agar with 5% Blood provides non-selective general-purpose cultivation for comprehensive organism recovery and hemolytic pattern observation, CLED Agar selectively isolates and enumerates urinary pathogens based on lactose fermentation while controlling Proteus swarming for accurate colony counts, and MacConkey Agar selectively isolates Gram-negative bacilli including coliforms and enteric pathogens with lactose fermentation differentiation. The complementary media combination makes this triplate particularly suited for urine culture workups requiring both urinary pathogen identification and enteric Gram-negative differentiation on a single plate.
Features:
- Three-section format combines TSA Blood 5%, CLED, and MacConkey Agar
- Blood Agar section provides non-selective general-purpose cultivation
- CLED section for urinary pathogen isolation, enumeration, and Proteus swarming control
- MacConkey section for selective isolation and differentiation of Gram-negative bacilli
- All three sections support lactose fermentation differentiation for pathogen identification
- 15 mm x 100 mm format with 7 mL fill volume per section
- Ideal for comprehensive urine culture and enteric pathogen workups
- Reduces plates, conserves sample volume, and optimizes incubator space
