Excel Scientific Zone-Free ™ seals are created with a multi-layer film for use with a 96-well microplate. The top layer consists of a pierceable, polyethylene film, and the white sub-layer consists of a polypropylene film with 96 circular areas void of adhesive. The white sub-layer helps align the seal to the edges of the plate as well as making sure the circles line up with each well. The film is pierceable for use with pipet tips or probes without contact with the adhesive. This film also offers excellent chemical resistance for your testing purposes.

Zone-Free is a multilayer film consisting of a top pierceable clear polyethylene film and a white polypropylene sublayer with 96 circular areas void of adhesive. The white sublayer aids in the alignment of the film to the plate; alignment of opposing corner wells ensures that all 96 wells will be properly aligned. The adhesive-free zones are 9mm on center to facilitate multi-channel pipetting without adhesive fouling of pipet tips or robotic probes.
