The Mystaire® Isola EDGE Filtered, Ductless Workstation provides superior filtration while offering the same convenience as traditional laboratory hoods. The angled and rolled entry design promotes a smooth, turbulent-free work area, which reduces eddy currents that affect containment. Compared to a traditional (ducted) workstation, the ductless equipment reduces power and maintenance costs and eliminates the spread of harmful contaminants into the environment. The Isola wokstations have an installed controller and notify the operator with lights and alarms when it is time to change the filter.

The EDGE workstation has a dual-wall thermally-fused solid polypropylene chamber to allow the insulation of common laboratory fixtures and electrical outlets, if needed. The main chamber offer superior chemical resistance while the contoured entry foil provides both spill containment and smooth airflow dynamics. The workstations are available in a variety of widths with multiple accessories to keep your equipment running smoothly for any application need.

The workstation is shipped fully assembled!

Process Steps:

Laboratory room air enters into Isola
The contaminants are mixed with laboratory air
Contaminated air is filtered through either gas phase carbon filtration or mechanical filtration
Air is constantly monitored for filter breakthrough as well as temperature and humidity
Air passes through the safety filtration zone before returning to the laboratory
