M-FC Media Liquid Media Ampoules
Manufacturer: GVS
Description
The medium's selective power comes from bile salts, which inhibit most non-enteric bacteria. Fecal coliforms are detected by their ability to ferment lactose at an elevated temperature of 44.5°C, producing acid by-products that cause a pH drop in the medium. This change is indicated by the Aniline Blue dye. Other organisms form grey to cream colonies. This combination of powerful selection, temperature differentiation, and a clear visual result makes this broth a trusted tool for rapid and accurate testing.
