M-enterococcus Broth Liquid Media Ampoules
Manufacturer: GVS
Description
The medium's selective power comes from sodium azide, which inhibits the growth of Gram-negative organisms while allowing enterococci to thrive. For a clear and unmistakable positive result, the medium contains 2,3,5-Triphenyl-tetrazolium chloride (TTC). When enterococci grow, they reduce the TTC, causing colonies to turn a distinct red color. This fluorogenic reaction enables detection within just 48 hours, making it an ideal tool for rapid and accurate testing of water, food, and pharmaceutical samples.
