Cetrimide Broth Liquid Media Ampoules
Manufacturer: GVS
Description
The medium's primary selective agent is Cetrimide, a quaternary ammonium cationic detergent that inhibits the growth of most bacteria while allowing P. aeruginosa to flourish. For definitive identification, the broth is formulated to stimulate the production of pyocyanin, a characteristic blue-green pigment that is unique to P. aeruginosa. The inclusion of magnesium chloride and potassium sulfate enhances the production of this pigment, providing a clear visual result. Rigorous quality control checks guarantee a stable and high-performing medium for your food, water, and pharmaceutical analysis.
