Cetrimide Agar Dehydrated Culture Media
Manufacturer: Neogen Inc.
Description
The medium's primary selective agent, Cetrimide, is a quaternary ammonium compound that inhibits the growth of competing bacteria. For differentiation, Magnesium Chloride and Dipotassium Sulfate are included to promote the production of pyoverdin and pyocyanin pigments. The combination of these pigments results in the characteristic green colonies of P. aeruginosa, allowing for rapid and confident identification. By using this agar, you can streamline your quality control processes and ensure the safety of your pharmaceutical products.
Please note: This product is not intended for use in the diagnosis of disease or other conditions in humans.
