Capillary tubes are very small test tubes, generally ½ mm on the inside. These tubes are useful when chemists and biologists work with very small samples. The name refers to the process by which the tubes fill with a sample liquid against gravity, in what is termed capillary action. This product is available in plastic and two different types of glass.
