Simplified Setup and Operation:
First-time meter setup is easy with the meter setup wizard. It guides you through important meter and measurement settings. On-screen meter tours and guides help you understand operation, warnings, and required maintenance. These cover calibration, measurements, meter connections, electrode stand assembly, and pH electrode usage. Guided calibrations provide step-by-step instructions for accurate, reliable, and reportable measurements.
Enhanced Display and Measurement Viewing:
Easily view measurements on the large 7-in. color graphic touchscreen display. You can view measurement channels individually or up to three at a time. This allows you to meet changing measurement needs. Select the basic, advanced, or custom measure display format to see only the information you want in the measure mode. The graph view displays individual measurements and temperature in a graph for measurement versus time studies.
Efficient Sample Handling:
You can easily enter sample identification information during measurements using optional meter accessories. These include a USB barcode scanner, USB keyboard, or USB mouse. An optional meter-controlled and meter-powered stirrer probe provides uniform sample stirring. This eliminates the need for a separate magnetic stir plate and stir bars.
Calibration Management:
The meter saves, displays, and exports up to 20 calibrations per parameter. Each calibration includes a date and time stamp. You can filter calibration logs by user and export them by date range or all at once.
Data Logging:
Measurements can be easily saved to the data log for long-term data retention. The meter saves, displays, and exports up to 10,000 data log sets, each with a date and time stamp. You can view individual data log sets with detailed measurement information in an easy-to-read on-screen list format. Filter data logs by user, date and time, or log number. Export data logs by date and time range, log number range, or all at once.
Data Output and Communication:
Output meter data logs, calibration logs, and methods to a printer, computer, or USB flash drive. Data can be saved to a computer or USB drive as comma-separated value (CSV) files for import into programs like Microsoft Excel. You can also save data to a USB drive as report files for printable records. Customize exported files to include all, advanced, intermediate, or basic data. The meter supports bidirectional communication with remote commands. This allows it to interface with computer programs, including LIMS, HyperTerminal, PuTTY, and other data collection software.
Standardization and Automation:
You can save measurement settings to standardize your analysis and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) using meter methods. The meter saves up to 10 methods per parameter. Import methods to and export methods from other Orion Pro Star series meters to standardize testing across multiple meters. The meter also saves, imports, and exports incremental techniques for determination of ion concentration. These techniques include known addition, known subtraction, analyte addition, and analyte subtraction analyses.
Security Features:
Activate the secure mode to assign up to 3 administrators and up to 30 users. Each user has their own account login and password. Administrators can select from pre-defined user access levels to meter functions. Access can be controlled for date and time settings, instrument settings, data logs, and calibration logs. Administrators can also export the user list and audit trail to help ensure digital data integrity.
Electrode Stand:
The included electrode stand facilitates secure and smooth movement of electrodes into and out of solutions. The electrode stand's weighted base offers flexible placement of the stand around the meter. Various electrode holder options are available to secure a wide range of electrodes. The stand also has built-in side channels to neatly organize electrode cables.
