The BIOBEE general purpose water baths provide precise laboratory temperature control suitable for direct and auxiliary heating of biological, chemical, physical, plant, chemical, and other experimental samples. Applications include Escherichia coli detection, sample thawing, bacterial detection, incubation microbial experiments, cell culture, food testing pretreatment, and more.

Accessories are available for use with Tubes and Blood Bags:
- Can be mixed and matched so long as the combination is within the total number of modules available for each model
- BB-05 has 2 modules
- BB-10 has 4 modules
- BB-20 has 8 modules
The Ø56mm test tube rack and the blood bag holder are 2 modules wide. For example, the BB-05 could hold a Ø13mm and a Ø31mm test rack. The BB-20 could have a blood bag holder, a Ø56mm test tube rack, two Ø31mm test tube racks, a Ø18mm test rack, and a Ø13mm test tube rack in it.
