Features:
- Interference Masking: The TISAB II component contains CDTA, which chelates Aluminum (Al3+) and Iron (Fe3+) ions, preventing them from complexing with fluoride and ensuring the electrode measures total fluoride activity
- Ionic Strength Equalization: Provides a high background of inert ions, satisfying the requirements of the Nernst equation by ensuring the ionic strength of the standard and sample remain identical
- pH Control: Maintains the solution between pH 5.0 and 5.5, preventing the formation of hydrofluoric acid (HF) and avoiding interference from hydroxide ions (OH-)
- Workflow Efficiency: Eliminates the need for manual 1:1 mixing during the calibration phase, significantly reducing pipetting errors and bench-time

WARNING! Chemical Hazard: This solution contains TISAB II (acetic acid and sodium chloride). It may cause mild skin and eye irritation.
- Personal Protection: Wear nitrile gloves, safety splash goggles, and a lab coat.
- Storage: Store at controlled room temperature (15°C to 30°C) in the original polyethylene container.
- Crucial Handling Note: Never store in glass. Fluoride ions react with the silica in glass, which will etch the container and cause the fluoride concentration of your standard to drift.
- Measurement Tip: For best results, ensure your samples are also mixed 1:1 with TISAB II to maintain a consistent matrix between your calibration points and your unknowns.
