Strontium Chromate, Powder, Reagent is prepared from the reaction between sodium dichromate with strontium carbonate, or between sodium chromate with strontium chloride. It is used as a corrosion inhibitor in pigments. The Reagent grade denotes that this chemical is the highest quality commercially available and that the American Chemical Society has not officially set any specifications for this material.
