Description
MultiMax™ tips are available in various volumes, colors, and specialized "LongReach" or "XT" (Extended Length) formats to reach the bottom of narrow tubes without contamination.
Features:
- Designed with a flexible proximal end to create an airtight seal on various pipettor brands, reducing the force required for tip attachment and ejection
- LongReach (10 µL) and XT (1000 µL) options allow users to access the bottom of deep-well plates and microcentrifuge tubes without the pipettor shaft touching the vessel walls
- Selected models (2945T/2946T) feature a low-retention surface that ensures maximum sample recovery, which is critical when handling expensive enzymes or rare DNA samples
- The durable, heavy-duty racks are designed to withstand multiple autoclave cycles, allowing for the reuse of racks with MultiMax™ reload systems
Usage & Safety Guidelines:
- Sterility Assurance: For applications requiring absolute sterility (e.g., cell culture or forensics), ensure you select the "Sterile" catalog numbers, which are e-beam irradiated
- Autoclaving: While the racks are autoclavable, non-sterile tips may be autoclaved at 121°C for 15 minutes at 15 psi. Avoid overcrowding the autoclave to ensure even steam distribution
- Seal Integrity: Always inspect the tip orifice for uniformity. MultiMax™'s precise production techniques ensure a straight, flash-free tip for consistent liquid delivery
