The 3D Clear Starter Kit is a comprehensive solution that includes the clearing reagent plus four essential buffers (Penetration, Blocking, Antibody, and Washing) to streamline the immunolabeling process. It provides enough material to process three 96-well plates, making it an ideal choice for high-throughput drug screening and phenotypic characterization.

Technical Specifications:

• Penetration Buffer (5739): Comprised of PBS / 0.2% Triton™ X-100 / 0.3 M glycine / 20% DMSO to facilitate deep antibody entry
• Washing Buffer (5741): A 10X concentrate of PBS with 0.2% Tween-20 and 10 µg/mL heparin to ensure clean backgrounds

Application Insight:

• In traditional 3D imaging, light typically only penetrates the outer 2–3 cell layers (50–100 µm). Using Corning 3D Clear, you can image through the entire thickness of spheroids and organoids (often up to 1 mm or more), providing a complete picture of drug penetration, cell viability, and protein expression
• The Starter Kit is highly recommended for first-time users as it includes the exact buffer formulations required to prevent tissue shrinkage and maintain fluorescence intensity during the clearing process.
