Sodium Periodate, Granular, Reagent, ACS
Manufacturer: Spectrum Chemical Manufacturing
Description
Sodium Periodate, Granular, Reagent, ACS is an inorganic salt composed of a sodium cation and the periodate anion. Sodium periodate is often used in solution to open saccharide rings between vicinal diols leaving two aldehyde groups. This is often used in the process of labeling saccharides with fluorescent molecules or a number of other tags such as biotin. As an ACS grade quality reagent, its chemical specifications are the de facto standards for chemicals used in many high-purity applications and typically designate the highest quality chemical available for laboratory use. Spectrum Chemical manufactured Reagent ACS grade products meet the toughest regulatory standards for quality and purity.
