The Excel Scientific ThermalSeal®2 ™ and ThermalSeal Advanced® seals feature a soft, extra thick, conformable adhesive that forms a very strong seal around raised wells to minimize evaporation and cross-contamination. They are certified DNase- & RNase- free and ideal for use with flat-top, semi-skirted and full-skirted PCR plates. They are compatible with hard-shell dual component (e.g. polycarbonate/polypropylene) PCR plates. The large cut allows for easier positioning of the film to the plate via the edge of plate alignment vs. centering. The advanced option, a smaller cut, suits raised-rim and non-skirted PCR plates.

Helpful Tips:
- Selection of the proper film size will minimize evaporation
- The film should not overhang or ride up the wall of a raised-rim plate
- More complete coverage of skirted flat-top plates will reduce evaporation in the outer wells
- End-tab removal before thermal cycling is highly recommended
