The "Clear" PET membrane is specifically engineered for researchers who require high-resolution microscopic validation. Unlike translucent polycarbonate, these transparent membranes offer excellent visibility under phase contrast microscopy, allowing you to monitor cell morphology and monolayer confluence in real-time without staining.

- Polarized Cell Growth: Allows cells to carry out metabolic activities naturally by accessing nutrients from both sides
- Co-culture Studies: Grow two different cell types in the same well with or without physical contact to study paracrine signaling
- Transport and Permeability: Ideal for drug absorption assays and blood-brain barrier (BBB) models
- Chemotaxis and Migration: Use larger pore sizes (3.0 µm to 8.0 µm) to study cell movement toward a chemoattractant
Choosing the Right Pore Size
- 0.4 µm: Best for drug transport, toxicity testing, and co-culture where you want to prevent cell crossing
- 3.0 µm: Ideal for leukocyte migration and studying larger molecule transport
- 8.0 µm: The industry standard for tumor cell invasion and general chemotaxis assays
