HTS Transwell® 96-Well Receiver & Reservoir Plates

The system offers two distinct approaches: the Receiver Plate uses 96 individually isolated wells to prevent cross-contamination during independent assays, while the Reservoir Plate uses a single open well to facilitate simultaneous feeding of all 96 inserts.

Features:

• Individually Isolated Wells: Receiver plates (Clear, Black, or White) prevent lateral cross-contamination between samples
• Automation Compatible: Corner-notched design meets ANSI/SBS standards for seamless integration with robotic grippers and liquid handlers
• Dual-Compartment Access: When used with the HTS Transwell unit, the design allows for pipette access to both the apical (top) and basolateral (bottom) sides without removing the insert
• Optical Flexibility: Choose Clear for microscopy, Black for fluorescence, or White for luminescence assays
• Media Stabilizer: The reservoir plate (3383) includes a removable stabilizer to minimize reagent splashing and spills during transport
• TC-Treated Options: Receiver plates are Tissue Culture (TC) treated to support cell growth in the bottom of the well for co-culture applications

Technical Differences: Receiver vs. Reservoir:

• Receiver Plates (3382, 3583, 3783): These are used for the actual assay phase. Because each well is isolated, you can use 96 different drug concentrations or cell types in the basolateral chamber
• Reservoir Plates (3383, 7494): These are used primarily for the growth and feeding phase. By filling one single reservoir, you can feed all 96 wells at once, significantly reducing pipette tips and labor
