Each insert is tissue-culture (TC) treated to ensure optimal cell attachment and consistent monolayer formation. The design is fully compatible with HTS reservoir trays and automated liquid handling systems, providing a seamless transition from manual workflows to high-throughput automation.
Features:
- 24 wells connected in a rigid tray for streamlined handling and compatibility with robotic systems
- TC-treated for robust cell attachment and healthy cell growth
- Available in Polyester (PET) for high visibility or Polycarbonate (PC) for high-density pore structures
- 0.4 µm for transport and barrier studies; 3.0 µm for migration and chemotaxis assays
- Standardized Growth Area - Each well provides a surface area of 0.33 cm2
- Flexible Packaging: 2/Case: Includes 2 HTS units, 2 open reservoir trays, and 2 receiver plates or 12/Case (Bulk): Designed for high-volume labs; includes 12 HTS units loaded in receiver plates (reservoirs sold separately)
Choosing the Right Membrane:
- Polycarbonate (PC): Best for general transport studies where high pore density is required
- Polyester (PET): Offers better optical clarity under a microscope, allowing for visual confirmation of cell monolayers
- Pore Size (0.4 µm): Ideal for drug transport and metabolic studies where you want to prevent cell migration but allow molecular exchange
- Pore Size (3.0 µm): The standard for cell migration and invasion assays
