The complete set provides all the components necessary for immediate vacuum assembly (excluding the filtering flask and membrane).
Complete set includes:
- Borosilicate Glass Funnel and Base
- Removable Stainless Steel Screen Filter Support
- Anodized Aluminum Spring Clamp
- Perforated Silicone Stopper (#5)
Parts are also available separately.
Thick prefilters or laminated filters will not seal in this holder, and it is not autoclavable with membrane filters installed. Unlaminated PTFE or PVDF membranes are recommended for solvent applications.

Critical Operational Notes:
- Membrane Compatibility: This holder is specifically designed for thin membrane filters. Thick prefilters or laminated filters will not seal correctly in this 25mm holder and may cause vacuum leaks.
- Autoclaving: While the components are sterilizable, the unit is not autoclavable with a membrane filter installed, as the expansion rates of the different materials can damage the membrane. Always autoclave the glass and stainless steel components separately or unassembled.
- Vacuum Setup: Ensure the No. 5 stopper is seated firmly in your filtering flask before applying vacuum to prevent the assembly from tipping.
