Critical Operational Notes:
- Membrane Compatibility: This holder is specifically designed for thin membrane filters. Thick prefilters or laminated filters will not seal correctly in this 25 mm holder and may cause vacuum leaks.
- Autoclaving: While the components are sterilizable, the unit is not autoclavable with a membrane filter installed, as the expansion rates of the different materials can damage the membrane. Always autoclave the glass and stainless steel components separately or unassembled.
- Vacuum Setup: Ensure the No. 5 stopper is seated firmly in your filtering flask before applying vacuum to prevent the assembly from tipping.
