- The thick-walled design (up to 3.8 mm for the 20 L model) prevents accidental punctures and provides a rigid structure that resists "wall-suck" when cooling after an autoclave cycle
- Polypropylene construction is resistant to most laboratory acids, bases, and alcohols, making it an ideal choice for bulk reagent storage
- The wide-grip handles are designed to reduce strain and prevent slipping, critical when handling 10kg to 20kg of fluid
- The 67 mm inner diameter allows for easy filling, thorough cleaning, and the insertion of large overhead stirrers
- Certificates of Analysis are available for each batch, ensuring the plasticware meets specific material and manufacturing standards
Autoclaving & Care Guidelines:
- CAUTION! Pressure Management: To prevent the carboy from collapsing or deforming due to the vacuum created during the cooling cycle, the threads must be completely disengaged (cap loosened) before placing the unit in the autoclave
- Temperature Limit: Suitable for standard sterilization cycles at 121°C
- Cleaning: Use mild detergents; avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the interior wall, potentially harboring contaminants
