Hoffmann Brass Hose Clamp Pinch Cocks
Manufacturer: Burkle Inc.
Description
Unlike standard continuous-frame clamps, the Hoffmann design incorporates an openable side clamping bar. This allows the clamp to be retrofitted directly onto existing, fully assembled tubing installations without unmounting connectors or stopping process lines. The knurled compressor screw lowers a flat pressure bar evenly across the tubing wall, delivering gradual compression control from a micro-drip flow to a complete pressure-resistant seal.
Key Functional Benefits:
- Hinged Side-Loading Architecture: The openable side bar allows quick, non-disruptive installation onto active fluid lines without disconnecting fittings or draining the system.
- Precise Volumetric Control: The fine-threaded compression screw and flat pressure plate provide incremental flow adjustment, allowing operators to dial in exact drop rates or achieve total fluid shut-off.
- Uniform Wall Compression: Compresses flexible tubing evenly against a flat base bar, reducing mechanical point-stress on the polymer matrix and extending hose service life.
- Broad Tubing Compatibility: Easily accommodates a wide range of flexible laboratory tubing materials, including silicone, rubber, vinyl, and low-density polyethylene (LDPE).
Tubing Safety Notice: Designed for use with flexible, compressible tubing only. Do not apply to rigid polymer lines (such as PTFE or PEEK) or glass tubing. For optimal shut-off performance without wall degradation, ensure the compressor screw is tightened only until flow stops completely.
