TLD Summer Fun 2023

Summer in the South is a beautiful mix of the nostalgic and the contemporary. While it is business as usual here at The Lab Depot, we take life a little easier and enjoy some of our favorite summer activities. Our outstanding staff offers the following sunny, ideal summer imagery:
In reference to spending time with his grandchildren, Business Development Officer Mark Jones says, “Summer is lazy days sitting and waiting on the sun to go down for fireworks, or having a five-year-old read you a story.”
Our resident green thumb Accounting Specialist Shelli Allison spends much of her free time in the garden. “Summer means tubing the Cartecay River, motorcycle rides, berry picking, and many hours in the vegetable garden working the ground and picking the veggies.”
UNG Intern and newlywed Emma Thomas characterizes her summer as “extended sunny days with relaxation at my wake.”
Our new Purchasing Lead Michael Constien loves “taking pictures at the beach during sunrise and sunset, homemade ice cream, and baseball, baseball, and more baseball!”
In Shipping & Receiving, Matt describes his family’s favorites as tubing, beaches, tomato sandwiches, garden veggies, sweat, sun, and rivers.
CFO Jere Allen lists his summer adventures as family-focused fun, “I love spending time outdoors with my family, doing things like visiting the coast and the mountains, kayaking, riding ATVs, buying fresh vegetables from local growers and picking wild blackberries off our 5 acres.”
Our Sales Team gives their own descriptions of sweet summer days. Internet Sales Specialist Will Bass keeps it simple, “Summer to me means the beach, pool, lake, family, and friends!” Inside Sales Specialist, Jacob Mahaffey starts in all caps with his number one favorite, “The BEACH, grilling out, the pool/swimming, spontaneous day trips, Baja Blast, and cheese dip (family recipe).” Tara Supron, Inside Sales Support, beautifully details her relaxing summer ideal day, “Summer means lazy days lounging in a hammock reading, chasing fireflies, or as we say in the south lightning bugs, long walks on the beach, and the smell of coconut suntan lotion.”
New in Accounting at TLD, Diana Cronic sweetly describes long days at the ball fields watching her children play, kayaking, or hiking to a beautiful waterfall. For her, summer also means, “hearing the laughter of my sweet babies soaking up every second of the pool days. Porch sitting, sipping my coffee as the sun rises over the mountain line. Summer is everything wonderful in life; it represents love, joy, abundance of family and friend time, and making memories for a lifetime.”
Even during the summer days, our dedicated staff keeps TLD running smoothly and delivering the best customer experience possible. Customer Service Manager Lori Fowler makes sure that even while in the office during the summer, there are opportunities for the staff to celebrate.
TLD Summer Celebrations
TLD recognized National Flip Flop Day this summer on May 31, 2023, with the following video.
On Friday, June 2, 2023, the office enjoyed National Donut Day with donuts from everyone’s favorite, Dunkin!
TLD celebrated CEO John Seelke’s Birthday on Monday, June 5, 2023.
As a national holiday, TLD honored Independence Day by being closed Tuesday, July 4, 2023.
World Chocolate Day and the National Day of Rock n’ Roll fell on the same day this year, July 7, 2023.
Staff participated in All American Pet Photo Day on July 11, 2023, with an internal contest for the best pet photo. Check out our winner below!
